everything you need to know about your IFC League
-
INFO
The IFC is a friendly, casual, 7 and 9aside league that happens every week for a season (usually 9-18 weeks long).
Team Size: We recommend having a squad of at least 13 players. If you’re an individual then head over to our contact page and we’ll get you assigned to a team! If you’re struggling for players we can help you find players! There really should be NO BOUNDARIES to you getting to play in this league.
Cost: The team will be asked to choose a captain, team name and club colour. The captain will be responsible for collecting in all the fees at the start of the season which will be divided by everyone in the team and paid before the league starts.
It should work out at less than £40 per person for the whole season. This fee goes towards pitch hire, referee costs, trophies, prizes and the end of season event.
-
game day
Game day: The games will be 40-50 minutes long (tbc) and are a 7aside or 9aside format. Rolling subs will happen during breaks in play. The referee is pretty consistent (the same referee for most weeks) and they are very lenient and fair and will explain decisions and support learning. Check out THE RULES page for more info.

What makes us different?
We support inclusivity.
We support a positive and fair attitude towards oppositions. Aggression and competitiveness is absolutely fine. Violence and tipping that balance into unsporting behaviour will not be tolerated.
We don’t just award league winners and top scorers, we have awards for inclusive behaviour and players who’ve grown in confidence and ability throughout the tournament
We support the inclusion of Transgender players with absolutely no restrictions to playing with us
We support the inclusion of non-binary players with absolutely no restrictions to playing with us
We are one of the few leagues in The UK that’s here for adults who are new or new-ish to playing footie!
Player Risk & Liability
Participation at Own Risk
All participants in the Inclusive Football Collective League (referred to as “the League”) acknowledge that football is a physical sport that carries a risk of injury. By taking part, you accept that you do so voluntarily and at your own risk.
Concussion & Serious Injury Protocol
Any player suspected of having a concussion or serious injury will be removed from play immediately and advised to seek medical attention. Players will not be allowed to return to play on the same day and must follow appropriate return-to-play guidelines. This is for the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
Health & Fitness Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit to participate in football activities. If you have any existing health conditions or are unsure about your ability to take part safely, we recommend consulting a medical professional before playing. The League does not conduct health screenings.
Safeguarding & Duty of Care
The League is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all participants, particularly those under 18 and vulnerable adults. Any concerns about wellbeing or safety should be reported to the League’s Safeguarding Lead immediately.
Players are expected to treat each other with respect, kindness, and care. Any behaviour that puts others at risk—whether physical, emotional, or psychological—will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the League.

The League, its organisers, coaches, referees, volunteers, venue partners, and affiliates accept no liability for injuries sustained during matches, training, or any related activities, except in cases of proven negligence. Participants are encouraged to have personal insurance to cover accidents or injuries.
We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property while at League venues.
Venue Safety & Compliance
Matches and events take place at different venues, each with its own health, safety, and emergency procedures. Players are expected to familiarise themselves with the venue’s rules and comply with any instructions from venue staff.
